1. the score flattered the irons. pardew had his analysis of the game wrong - lfc's best football was the 1st 10 minutes of 15-45.
2. garcia is least effective when youre aiming to dominate a weaker side with a fast possession game. Too many passes bounce of him and he too often he tries something fancy when a sure pass might stretch the oppo and allow us to create something. hes most effective against stronger sides when your looking to steal a goal - often needing something a little special against a really good defence. if were picking the best team FOR THE CIRCUMSTANCES then west ham home is not a game to start luis in.
3. kuyt looks a real trier and a real team player. I think hell be a great success in the long term. ive seen too many people blaze in with spectacular goals then turn out to be ineffective (rosenthal, speedie, clough, collymore, heskey, baros etc). Its just a feeling, but he looks like a title winning striker to me.
4 Agger looked as imperious as in cardiff. sami is an LFC GREAT but hes been creaking for 2-3 years. He still has a role but he will not be 1st choice come athens in may
5. You can put the scums great start to fielding a stable defence (with oshea a good rep for dot cotton) If we not had the disruption of the 2 injuries plus momo wed be 6/6. our problems in this game were largely a matter of organisation.
6 the irons goal was a fluke. i was behind it and his body shape was clearly aiming a cross. pepe should do better though but if your gonna drop such clangers then best do it when theres the chance to make amends.
7 that referre is a cnut. i still havent seen all the offsides although the goal definitely was, the biggest mistake was blowing for foul on gerard when his tackle hd put an lfc player through. he gave us exactly NOTHING. luckily it hasnt cost us points.
8. the hammers are a decent side. they are outstanding in the physical strength department. I thought hayden mullins had an excellent game including outsprinting stevie g. he didnt have momo to contend with but in retrospect, i'm glad he missed the fa cup final. If you could combine the athleticism of harewood with the technique of ashton youd have some player.
I think its better result than we probably all think and they have a chance to take points off other contenders.

I think thats more a reflection on the strengthening of our squad than luis himself
