Credit to whomever thought up that chant, never would have thought of using that!

Did it actually appear before the final?

Surely it's worth a letter to the telegraph.

I can't watch You Tube at work but didn't the Mancs have a song to that tune a few years ago when they were desperately trying to get into the CL Final at Glasgow for Ferguson?

Why because they're singing their hearts out in Athens representing the club in a very positive way.
Whats the problem with what they're doing we are renowned for that type of
thing it's called having fun, there is no malice in it.
It's one of things that gives us a good name abroad.
So I don't get why you have a problem with it.

yeah that's why i'm not too happy about singing it tbh

                        their's went:

                        Glasgow, Glasgow, Glasgow
Man United are going to Glasgow
                        can't remember the rest

                        Our response at the time:

                        Arseholes, Arseholes, Arseholes
                        Man United are ****in arseholes
                        David Beckham's a prick
                        He sucks Ryan Giggs dick
With his finger up Barthez arsehole

                        repeat

                        Not big but quite clever
'Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present.
                        It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
                        Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

Don't know when that was filmed but that song was being sung very loudly by everyone, including me, in Sytagma Square in Athens in the pissing rain on the day of the Final, with plenty of Heineken being drunk and the gardens of the square decked out in hundreds of Red banners and stinking of piss.

                            Ah memories...

Tbh mate, can't really see the problem, looks like they were all having a good time and was pretty funny watching them go round.

On a side note it really irritates me when people call xabi - xavi get his friggin name right!, but that's just me being strange
