Heinze,Baines or Red Chelini would do.

Agree mate. Arbeloa is decent but I cant help thinking we have another Josemi on our hands. Maybe he was bought as a stop gap or squad player at best.
I actually like the idea of Micah Richards. The lad is a beast of a man & can play well for a 19 year old.

Yeah true mate, I dunno yet about him he started so well but his performances in the league at the end of the season were pretty shabby to say the least but then so were our performances in general.
Micah Rchards has impressed in what little I've seen of him but can't help thinking he would be mad money

We only need a tweak as most have indicated CH is where we are most at risk. I'm not worried about Arbeloa as he is deffo good enough for all but the games against the big 4/5.

I also believe that Paletta can do a job against most teams IF he is played alongside Carra. No-one else covers as well as Carra and with Carra behind him, Paletta's confidence will be sky high and the mistakes that are made by all young center backs won't have so drastic consequences as they do when he is playing with Hyypia.

Anyhow with our new attacking line up, the opposition won't be able to get hold of the ball (other than to pick it out of the net) anyway!!!!!!

Maybe not as powerful as those mentioned, but does he need to be? Look how Carragher dominated Drogba in the 2-0 match. He didn't out jump him, he didn't out muscle him, but any time Drogba had the ball Carra was all over him. He mightn't have won many aerial challenges, but he did enough to put Drogba off and inevitably won the ball soon after.

I know on other occasions Drogba had destroyed us, especially Agger, but with the right game plan the height advantage can be negated without the use of a 6’4 brute.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                A new left back.
Cover for Carra and Agger is also needed.
Arbeloa can cover for Finnan, and in emergency at centre back or left back, but that is not desirable.

We will need a replacement for Finnan in a year or two as well.

Agree Timing, positioning, leap are what Agger has in is favour. You don't need to out-jump by 6", 1" is enough. I agree that Agger is not as dominating as Hyypia, but look at the stats Carra and Agger rarely concede from set pieces. That to me says there are good enough.

Definetly, hyypia is getting on now and after him theres nothing in reserve.

                    Palleta is gash.

Only when he plays alongside Hyypia. Him and Roque have looked really good in the reserves.
