    Setanta Connection Fee

Just contacted Setanta Sport to sign up for their package. One of their consultants told me it would cost £9.99 per month plus a one off £10 connection fee. Well, Marcus50bucks went into a bit of and approx 45seconds later, the consultant said "we will not be charging you a connection fee".

My boss called Setanta to sign up because he wanted to watch the US golf, he wasn't interested in any of their other stuff.

The Setanta guy trotted out the usual pricing, after 15 minutes 'discussion' about paying for stuff he wasn't going to watch they gave him the first 3 months half price with no connection fee.

      They're well worth haggling with.
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

Still waiting to see what happens because i signed up on the net and they make no mention of a connection charge at all, so they best not try and add it on, other wise i'll be right on the phone

I rang them last night and the man said "You can upgrade your downgrade for a higher grade, free for the first 18 months and then you pay us £42 for the first month, and £122 for the second month and £14 for the month - do you want upgradings to your broadbandings?"
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah I agree. It didn't really go into detail anywhere about EXACTLY what you are signing up for and what you are paying. (I did it on t'net).

That said the activation was pretty quick.

I shall be checking my bank regularly to check if they have charged me this so called connection fee

My plan was to do it on net so miss out paying connection fee hopefully, then call them up to cancel unless they give me the subs on the second box in the house for nothing, wanna see what this LFC TV is like first. But if the cheeky *******s try and stick that connection charge on, i'll be right on the phone to em.

Make sure you have a print out of the t+c's and also the pricing page so you can prove it didn't mention it if you do have a problem.

Their square picture is quite annoying too, all the boxing and live football I have watched so far have been unavailable in wide screen format.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Guys, does anyone know if LFC TV and the Setanta Sports Chanels will be available through Sky as well?
It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.
