Recently when me and my girlfriend were booking our church in which we are getting married next year the first question the priest (a Middlesbrough fan) asked me was did I like football. I said yes and told him about Liverpool and next he went to get loads of pictures of Craig Johnston and family and tells me that he has baptised all of Craigs kids and showed me the photos. He said Craig has kept in contact over the years and he has gone to visit Craig often and spoke to him in detail before he stopped playing football due to his sister.

He seems to be a top bloke and it was a shame he quit when he did as he had a few good years left in him.

        Nice story.

As I remember it he was still in his 20's.

        Thanks for that

As an aussie myself i have to say he will always be a legend here but he is still not recognised properly IMO.

Over here we are lauding Kewell, Cahill and Viduka but this bloke did it, won it (more than once) and then gave it up for his sister.

He deserves proper recognition, and i say that because he is obviously a quality bloke!
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Loved Craig, but hate those minibar sensors. I always take out the hotels stuff and put my own in and then the *******s try and charge you even though you put their stuff back when you leave.
