He ain't going to get a chance - the chances of him making the bench are next to nothing - maybe if the bench was extended to 7 he'd get more of a look-in.

Haven't seen enough of him to make an informed opinion but against Bremen I thought he was poor .... too lightweight and quite negative when he had the ball. Expected him to be full of tricks and creative but didn't show any of that to be honest.

That said, it was half a pre-season game and from what I hear he impressed in his cameo apprearance against Auxerre. In all honesty though the likelihood of him seeing the first team squad in a league game is remote to say the least seeing as though he will be competing against probably 8 or 9 senior players plus any of his peers coming through

He should go on loan to a Championship side for a year to see how he does there. If he stays can't see him getting more than 5 starts (Carling Cup, CL final group game, if we've qualified. etc.) and maybe a few sub run outs.

He really reminds me of David Thompson, good little player. Not really good enough for us if i'm brutally honest.Hope i'm wrong because i would really love to see some of our youngsters coming through.

Also for any youngsters to establish themselves in the 1st team, they really have to be outstanding and stand out at every oppertunity they get. With the amount of money going around, most don't have any chance. You really have to shine like Owen,Fowler, Gerrard,Rooney did really early on.

Strikes me very much as Garcia/Benayoun type player, doesn't really have a best starting position as such. Unlike most on here I think he's got a pretty decent chance of making it with us, doesn't look like he'll be going out on loan and Rafa only seems to have good things to say about him, so I think he'll get mayb 10 games this season all comps, which will be good going

clever little player, give him more chances

certainly more encouraging to see young talents in the squad instead of zendens and fowlers(with all due respect)

How old is he? Isnt he 21? If he isnt getting a sniff of the bench at 21 he isnt going to get a sniff of the first team for us.

I know people say give him 10-15 games but what games are these? There is no way he would be risked in any game that has much riding on it, so that rules out league games for a few months. He isnt going to play in the CL proper, so his only games are going to be League Cup and even then that'll depend on the draw and then FA Cup and that will depend on the draw too.

Not saying the lad is **** but if he is 19/20+ and he isnt getting even a seat on the bench, he isnt going to make it as a top player at Liverpool. At the end of the day, cream rises.

Good thread. I agree that its difficult to see him getting much of a chance.

At this point I think Rafa would be better giving Anderson these warmup games. He could be ready in a year or two. I guess that depends on whether he's still with Hamilton for the season though....

Chris mate he's only been with us a year or so hasn't he? I'd give him time to develop in English game I think he'll be a cracking little player and will be given a chance in the League Cup possibily a couple of subs appearances in the League and may even make the bench for a CL game or 2 depending on who and what the situation is.

Except he only joined in October 06, so he's had a grand total of about 7/8 months to make an impact not exactly a huge amount of time is it. He's featured in all *i think* of the pre season matches so Rafa must think he's got something about him, so i'd say it's a little too early to judge at the moment.

Yeah just looked that up he was one bought to be groomed in the ressie's and then given a chance. Personally I think he will and I think Rafa rates him so I expect to see him included.

Agreed. I was a bit surprised he came to play in our reserves at his age anyways.

Next month he will turn 21 and he has Gerrard, Pennnt, Kewell, Babel, Benayoun, Kuyt, Torres, Crouch, Voronin and probably Leto ahead of him.

At the very least, he should go out on loan - the reserves league is ****e.
