Makes sense, get agreement on the current design, start work - then re-submit plans for expansion while under-construction - would also be a cost effective way to go about it - rather than build, stop, play, and build again.

For those who maybe don't get to Anfield much and have commented about why the council don'tjust let us build what we want. This is a very good aerial shot which shows the space constraints but also shows why the council would want the old stadium to be kept as green space in an area of dense housing

The architects will have been talking with the planners for months and there have been rumours that the roof has been changed a few times. You can never be totally sure what the final outcome of the planning application will be but I'm optimistic that we've had an unofficial OK for these plans

We will definitely get permission - we've been in discussions with the planners for ages.....we've already probably got a verbal agreement
