OK here goesOriginally posted by Howard_lfc View PostCmon Laddsy - everyones in a good mood today so spit !!
supposedly Cahill would welcome a move to the reds and a chance to play beside our Harry (albeit a drunken rant)
also Kewell feels no pain before or after games
a few of the guys think Heinze could be joining, but are not fussed either way. Risse is on fire in training and so is Voronin
Thats it

Is that not because he watches most of them on the telly?

If I was getting a groin massage for up to 3 hours before a game I'd be a bit wary about standing up without a strategically placed newspaper, never mind running around the pitch.

Do a search on the official site theres an interview from Parry circa 2004 when he announces details of the exact proposal
Its clear that financial constraints were a major factor
I do however agree that the non-expandable stadium was idiotic but was that Parry or Moores, or just that it was the cheapest option to build?
I stand corrected.
If they wanted a 70,000 - 80,000 seater bowl, then I accept that is not as bad as 55,000 - 60,000 bowl. That is actually quite ambitious, which I find impressive coming from them.
I thought the initial plans were for 65,000 odd (back in 2000). I was quite horrified when figures like 55,000 were being mooted about 3-4 years ago. And I was completely taken aback when people started saying the capacity was non-expandable. Clearly financial constraints were a major issue if a non-expandable stadium with capacity capped at 55,000 - 60,000 was on the agenda. There is no way we should have settled for a 60,000 max. If we're expanding to 60,000 to compete with Man U, and that's as far as we can go, while they're expanding to 76,000 or may be 80,000, we'll always be a step behind.
No way should we have proceeded on that basis. WOuld have been better to put the whole thing on hold until investment was brought, which for all intents and purposes is what happened here.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

Presumably this is a case of Cahill wanting to play for us as opposed to us being interested in him thoughOriginally posted by Laddsy View PostOK here goes

Bill Kenright will be throwing a huge strop right about now, I can just see him berating their designers
" Draw some plans that are bigger & better than theirs and get it in tomorrows Echo"
"Bill, we will never be able to afford it"
"I know that but it will give our fans some hope, It's all those murdering red *******s fault"
