just a quick one, with the size of the overhanging roof on the sides of the stadium, does anyone think that they're looking at a retractable roof? am curious after looking at the other stadiums that the architects have designed, was there any mention in the video?

You stick a bloody great building in the middle of a community then tell them the reason they dont like it is because they dont apreciate architecture! Surely its up to the architecture to fit in with the community, not the other way round.

Lets face it Modern structures put places on the map. Bilbao was a ****hole before they spruced the place up with some cracking feats of modern architecture and engineering.

Alas, i feel i would be wasting my time trying to convert you...your probably only 12 or so.

There's a touch of the Bilbao Guggenheim to it. The Kop looks like it will scare the **** out of opposing teams.

Those are the two things that struck me.

And the Kop towers down over the pitch. It'll be an scary place for opposition, no doubt about it.

actually, thinking about it a bit more I suspect it's not on, as you say only reason for a retractable roof would be to host non-sporting events and with a massive theatre being built on the docks this would be a daft idea
