I know Cahill's agent personally. He is heavily involved with Wasps in Rugby as well. I spoke to him at length recently about all the people he has under his charge. Cahill turned down an offer from PSV to extend his contract with Everton. Also Manure never made an offer for him as was previously rumoured. Further to that he has no desire whatsoever to leave Everton.

Radical idea, but expanding the capacity under the existing roof will be tricky in the new stadium.

I wonder if they will build the stands full size, but only put in 60,000 seats? That way, they can add more seats easily when the larger capacity is approved.

Each stand in independent. Thus there are gaps in all four corners where seats can be put. That would account for some increase.

It used to say John Player Special on the outside of Liverpool buses, but you couldnt buy the the things in there

That would be piss funny. Build a 78k seater stadium and only put 60k seats in. Put in a planning request for an extra 100 seats each week.

Reading that interview with Parry - they definitely hope to kick off in 2010 with the highest capacity possible.

Can't understand why people think this is far fetched. It's already been heavily rumoured that this will happen. In fact I'm sure Parry has in the past mentioned that it was an option the club were looking into. Arsenal have made serious money out of selling the stadium name, and the new stadium isn't Anfield anyway. If it means £100mil or a new name like the Stanley Park Stadium I know where my vote will be.

I am certain we'll be looking for sponsorship to "name" the stadium, but I'll bet that the new name will also include Anfield somewhere in there.
