Am I the only one who thinks the stadium anouncement could have been a lot more dynamic? Why couldn't we have a proper announcement with lots of pictures, 3d models and a stadium walkthrough?
3 poxy pictures is not good enough IMO. Imagine the press we would have got around the world if we had teh images tht were previously 'banned'.
B minus for the PR department - I cannot wait for this new Marketing guy to start working.
Stadium is beautiful BTW - LOVE IT!! Just wish we ould have presented it with a bit more razzamatazz!!"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

B- is pretty good based on how we've handled this in the past (C-). G&T are moving us towards A- at a pretty rapid rate (see DJS's thread about what they are doing w/Ticketing).Originally posted by looprevil View PostAm I the only one who thinks the stadium anouncement could have been a lot more dynamic? To be fair, I think the launch was fairly low key because they haven't ironed out all the details yet.
Remember it was only 4 months ago that G+T decided to go back to the drawing board"Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest."
- Denis Diderot (1713-1784)

I think the low-key announcement was probably mainly to do with the fact to keep the council sweet and not to sound like things are a done deal. (Even though they are behind the scenes I'd imagine)
I think we will defo get all the razzmataz in time, once the council have approved the new application, and hopefully second application for the higher capacity.
Then I reckon we'll see some brilliant images, 3d- tours etc, the way americans usually do with these type of ventures.

Fully marks to Hicks and Gillette. They surveyed the fans and they seem to have listened to every one of us. Great new design it's going to be an intimidating place to play for away teams

Thanks for the link Howard
After looking at all the pics over the last couple of days I still find it difficult to imagine in my head how the whole thing fits together. It is such a different design from all other football stadia and seems to have many details which are currently unique.
With 76,000 plus fans it will be truly stunning.
