No, sorry. They didn't mention any capacity figures over there.

Not sure how those seating plan mock ups could become reality as the corners are used for roof support, plus the architect said the corners wont be filled

So that's what he said! You never know nowadays, lying bunch, rotten to the core from the bottom up, the whole system's corrupt!

Seriously though, where else are they going to put them? To me it just looks exactly like we're leaving spaces and blanks for expansion. It could be, that they don't want to release The Truth until major building works have gone underway, just incase the council become all ****ing arsey about it? looks good.....although, is that how they intend to have it?

I was under the impression that their would be a plaza type thing around the stadium. That one looks like it has just been placed in between houses and roads.

I think that it's just the viewing angle and the imposing size of the structure which render the surroundings close to obsolete. However I believe this only to be an optical 'illusion', however I could be proven wrong

All they need to do now is hurry up and build the thing. The sooner they start digging the better.

Man it's going to be such an imposing stadium, striking fear into anyone who dare enter its tunnels!

Not exactly earth shattering developments but thought I'd post anyhow for those who may be arsed. The Verny is now ringed with a security fence and looks like it's about to be consigned to history any time soon. It's a bit frustrating the way the new ground thing is starting to drag on but at least this a small step in the right direction.
I have fond memories of this much vandalised but much used and loved facilty. I once played five-a-side there against a team called "INTER YER MA"

although I have to say, I live near Wembley and can see the stadium from the flat and it is impressive.

Being the sad geek I am I have looked throught the cross sections and a few points hit me.

We will have 58 boxes over 3 levels in one stand, this seems a good amount less than Arsenal and I would have imagined, as Arsenal have 100 boxes. Seem's to be a lot of lost money here. This means the boxes will hold 1000 people (according to the plans). Wonder if they will add more.
This is 12 on the lower level, 24 on upperboxes level 1 and 22 on upper boxes level 2.

We will be getting ball boys in the new stadium as they have their own changing rooms in the stadium.

The Kop will hold 17,800, I thought the plan was for 19,000 - is this potentially a mistake telling people the kop will hold 19,000 as this seems to hint where some of the increase will happen.

Got to say there are a lot of tv camera points as well.

                        Sorry sad points I know.

Yeah I do trust them with this 100%, just suprised about the boxes. Also very interesting that they are all in the one stand that has valet parking and a porte corchere - the west stand.

Valet parking - so someone comes up to your car window as you draw up and says 'Can I mind your car for you?'. What a novel idea.
