    From BBC 'Quotes of the week'

    Sorry if it's in the wrong place, been seen before or whatever, but I was just having a browse of the beeb website and caught this from the 'Quotes of the week' section:

    "And Liverpool do have a second goal, and it's Fernando Torres opening his account from Pennant's corner - or is it Daniel Agger? Actually it was Nabil El Zhar's corner. I remind you these pictures are from Swiss TV."
    Setanta Sports commentator during Liverpool-Auxerre game when Agger scored. The phrase bad workman springs to mind. (Ben Tover, England).

    Two things:

    1 - This doesn't bode well for league commentary this season.
    2 - That can't be that bloke's real name.
    What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

    To be fair to the commentator Swiss TV were showing a replay of something else when we scored from a corner

      Correct. They were still showing the attempt that went out for the corner whilst we were taking the corner! I assume that Setanta's commentator was either sat up in the 'press box' of the tiny Swiss athletics stadium watching a small TV monitor or (like Eurosport) could even have been back in the studio watching on TV like the rest of us.

        Ian Crocker is a good commentator missed him from SKYSPORTS when he left one of the last few good commentators.

        Now that i have Setanta he'll be doing the Prem games
