    Hicks on Five Live

Hicks was just on Five Live talking to Jane Garvey. Sounds excited about the new stadium. Says it's going to be loud and likens it to a symphony stage. Also says that "Roffa" hasn't given up on Heinze.

Anyway, you'll be able to listen to it after the Drive program has finished again by using the "Listen Again" links on this page.

And of course, they'll probably be playing the best bits of it in the sports programme later.

Great stuff. Here's hoping there's no HICK-UPS in our attempts at building
      the new stadium

Don't worry, with Gillette there it will be a smooth finish.

As ever Hicks came acrosss very well, as does gillet when interviewed. They certainly know how to talk the talk and the new stadium is very exciting in its design.

Me too! Fact is though if they deliver this stadium, and i suspect when completed it will be far superior, they deserve massive credit. It is their money that gives us the strength to be able to build a stadium like this.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

The best way to hear the whole thing again is to use Internet Explorer (as this appears to be the only browser that supports their fast-forward/rewind controls - I've never been able to get them to work in firefox, which would mean you would have to listen to a couple of hours of programme first)
                          http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/programmes/drive.shtml
Use this link and click on the "Wed" listen again link. When the window pops up, use the fast forward controls to get to 16:49 and the interview will begin shortly afterwards. Hicks is on for a full 6 minutes.
