Who should we sell naming rights to?

If there is a company I would like to have the naming rights it would be Apple, because I think there is massive potential for there to be a business relationship between us and them.
Not only is Apple a global brand but their products are really well known, this leads to greater opportunities such as LFC branded products, footballers all have mp3 players (possibities of having player playlists), marketing and advertising using LFC players for Apple. Itunes could be a carrier of LFC content eg interviews and old content.
i think there would be great potential for such a relationship to existQuit your jibber jabber!!!
Jermaine, you know the song Billie Jean...is it about the tennis player??

Not a bad idea really. There's the whole beatles apple records thing too.Originally posted by saveferris View PostIf there is a company I would like to have the naming rights it would be Apple, because I think there is massive potential for there to be a business relationship between us and them.

I would have no problem if right from the get go they started calling it Stanley Park. It's a new stadium, a new era, and a new look. Anfield memories will NEVER die, but with our new stadium we are going to be making new memories.
Anyone?
Originally posted by Fiddy View PostI agree mate, and I remember saying that before. There's only one Anfield, it seems like just clinging onto the past calling the new stadium 'Anfield' when we should remember it fondly and move forward into the future.
Arsenal fans seem to do ok now despite most of them crying at the time about leaving 'Highbury' behind...a name is just a name at the end of the day, none of us will ever forget the events that happened at our old ground.
As long as we get a ****load of £££ and it isn't some stupid name, I'm all for ransoming off naming rights to the highest bidder.
But then I did rename myself Manchester United after losing a bet

Doesn't really the same effect does it fellas

No matter what name it gets, our stadium will always be called Anfield by me

That would be a sore point if anything.Originally posted by Operation View PostNot a bad idea really. There's the whole beatles apple records thing too.
But since LFC are in no way affiliated to Apple Records we should be gunning for Apple.
It makes sense.
And as someone said...its enevitable that the stadium would be known as "the Big Apple"

I dont care that much for £100mil, BUT its only for 10 years, then it reverts to Anfield or New Anfield. Having this set in stone will prevent the Coca-Cola arena taking on Emirates proportions for us and enable it to revert to a real name.
I know its a bit sacriligeous, but 10 years only seems like along time, **** its been nearly twice that since we won a league, and for the reduced repayments (And team strength) a £100mil deposit will make it's well worth the sacrifice IMO!
In an ideal world it comes down to three things. A big fat cheque, a company that isn't too evil and a name that can revert to anfield after 10 years or so.
- Gillette - Sounds ok, fitting
- Redrow - Suitable, Liverpool connection
- Coca Cola - Big payday
- HSBC - Who's gonna call it the HSBC arena etc without refering to Anfield/Liverpool? etc"that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011
