the first 4-3 game with Newcastle and the 2-1 win over Arsenal at Cardiff when Owen did the business for us (which he did do from time to time you know).

Quite liked the feeling of sinking Arsenal, but i thought Arsenal were the better team that day, Owen stole the show really.
First 4-3 with Newcastle is legendary now will always remember it.
Along with of couse Istnabul and Dortmund. Loved the game against the mancs at Anfield where Riise hit that Rocket. And Olympiakos.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all the obvious ones stick out but i prefer the obscure ones like a 2-1 win against luton at home can`t remember the year but we were getting beat 1-0 goin into the last minute and scored 2 i think it was early 90`s

1991 - dean saunders two classic
my favourites are a 3-2 win over charlton at home in autumn 1987 and a 2-1 win v chelsea at home culminating in a winner by steve mcmahon in the last minute. both gamers we came from behind and played relentless attacking football against a decent side.
the forest game and the 4-0 win v QPR (then league leaders) of that seasons were great performances but to me, too one-sided to be great games.
that was the season with the hole under the kop wasn`t it and we battered everyone at home for the first few games oxford, pompey and QPR all got a hiding

Remember Hansen scoring his last ever goal in that Charlton game. A diving header at the Kop end to make it 2-2 I think. Garth bleedin' Crooks scored for them too, a lob over the tiresomely absent Grobbelaar.
That Chelsea game was good too, we battered them for 90 minutes and finally got our just rewards when it seemed we'd lose.
