[/B]Rosenthals hat-trick was on his first start, he had been a sub against Forest prior to that[/B].

That was also Sami Hyypia's debut, Hamann's debut (went off injured after 20 minutes), Henchoz's debut (I think) and Smicer's.

After a dire first five minutes, Sami had a great debut that day. Also Diouf's brace was his home debut - we were away the week before.

Cheyrou made his debut in the same game. He came off the bench for a 15 minutes cameo and won a penalty with a Cruyff turn that bamboozled Wayne Bridge. After that and his performance against Lazio pre-season, I thought he was going to be the dog's bollocks.

I'm showing my age now but Kevin Keegan's debut was a bit special especially when nobody knew who the hell he was.

Rob Jones had a cracking debut against ManUre. He had the media's darling Ryan Giggs in his pocket.

What a player Trigger was. So unlucky. Gary Neville would never have had an England cap if it wasn't for Rob's injuries.
