Forlan certainly seems to have better La Liga stats for the previous season.

Going by his performances over here, Forlan is gash and I can't believe how he's blossomed over there (although granted I watch very little of La Liga anyway). But it's interesting to note the only department in which Torres outperformed him last season is assists.

Last season he was very poor with his penalty's. The previous seasons however he was very good. Not sure whether I'd let him be our No.1 penalty taker

I'd give Kuyt the penalties to be honest - seems to find the corners virtually all the time from the spot!

I never feel confident with Gerrard or Alonso for some reason. Their great strikers of the ball, but Alonso never finds the corners and Gerrard has missed a few in the past.

However, Torres may get better practising with Reina just like Gerrard did.

Torres definitely needs to improve his finishing but he is a different level of player to Forlan.

If I remember rightly Benitez picks a different penalty taker for each game and he says if we lose a match because of a missed penalty , people can blame him for picking the taker rather than the person who misses

Torres is a better all-round player than Forlan, but like I said in another thread, Torres is not a natural goal-scorer.
