seeing as it the kop's birthday this week and weve got no game in th eimmediate future why not try and recall your favourite moment to do with the kop?

As a fairly young fan, I wasn't around for the Shanks/Paisley/Fagan/Kenny moments, but probably my favourite Kop memory was the night Houllier came back against Roma. When he came out of the tunnel and we all went wild - it was one of the best moments of my life.

I know GH went a wee bit nuts after that, but I'll remember that moment until I die.

If we are going to by personal experience, I have only been in the Kop once everytime I get a ticket it's always in the main stand or the anny road. Well anyway back to my experience was Bradford 2001 and Heskey scored a good goal

Walking to the standing Kop on a derby day without it being a hassle, then splitting up to go to our respective turnstiles, then beating them, then meeting up with them just outside the gates again.

Oh how times have changed, for the better?? Not so sure about that, but at least I don't get peed on anymore !

Dunno what game it was, but around 80-81. Stood in the Kop with me Dad (who's a bitter) and wondering "Why would people bring missiles into a football match".

That is my first ever memory of the Kop.

One moment sticks out when My Dad was taking me and my brother about 20 odd years ago. Don't worry son he said, we'll get there in plenty of time to get tickets. Friggin sell out and even when offered some tickets, stated he was not paying that much. Dejected we headed back to the car when the KOP roared, 1-0 nil after two minutes, then 2-0 nil after about 5 minutes.

My fave, would have to be my first game on the KOP in about 1980, we scored, the crush started and I got scooped up my a massive docker, whilst he stopped the surge, put me back down, and proceeded to give a load of verbal to my Dad.

As for the footie, Has to be Collymore's winner against Newcastle or Fowlers free kick past Schemical.

I've got a picture in our house of the Kop for the last standing game versus Norwich City. I took it myself from the centenary stand and it's not bad - even if I do say so myself.

My favourite memeory is when I used to pay 2 shillings and sixpence to get in. Thats 12.5 pence for the youngsters

maybe not my favorite memory but one i remember as a kid was wondering why there was 3 inches of water at the bottom of the kop when it hadn't rained for two weeks just imagine now in these Eco friendly times recycling those paper tea cups

First game on the Kop, 10 years old. Middlesborough, FA Cup 1/4 Final March '77, 3 days after the St Etienne game, 56 thousand crowd, me and me Dad with a home-made stool for me to stand on.

10 minutes into the 2nd half, David Fairclough cut in from the right wing, burst past two Boro players and dispatched a mother of a shot which nearly decapitated the keeper. Keegan added a second, the world seemed to explode and I lost my stool, but was suspended in the air by the sheer weight of bodies.

Although I must only have seen about 10 minutes of the actual match, this was where I had to be. The lingering smell of stale smoke, the unnatural greenness of the grass, Joey Jones, fists pumping towards me and only me, You'll Never Walk Alone and We Shall Not Be Moved. Ah, my friends, we'll never see the like again.

Smelt like....victory!

Early 60s Getting there early so my dad and uncles could sit me in the windows at the back. Game ahead - big drop behind. Shouting the score to passers by. Writing about the singing at school (Hey Green Rd) on Monday. And drawing pictures of lots of scarves.
