Is anyone like myself feel strange, saying that yes we won the treble but they were all muck trophies. Man U won the league, European Cup and the FA Cup in '99???

The UEFA Cup was a lot more of a prestigious tournament when we won it than the farce of a competition that it is now.

The year we won it, it was actually stronger than the champions league that year.

What cannot be questioned is that GH laid a great defensive foundation at the club. However he did so at the expense of the wings and strikers, which kept us from competing for the league while he was in charge. At last under Benitez this is starting to change.
