Winning the League. If you had a choice ....

I'm a bit bored, like most folk here it seems, waiting for the season to start.

Fans and the players seem only to talk of the elusive No 19, and rightly so. We've won everthing else recently. But how much do we covet it really? So..... if you had a choice, what would you choose.....

19 would be lovely obviously, but an improvement to 2nd place and a cup treble?

For what it's worth, I think we NEED to win the league more than anything. It'll create stability and stop people going on about us being a cup team. But a cup treble like 2001 would be amazing and may be we could go for 19 the following year.

      I'm for 19.

Id take the Eurpean Cup, FA cup and League cup over the league title.
If I had choice of one, it would be the league title.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Realistically I just want us to be challenging for the title in april. If we are, I can see us with a bloody good chance of winning the title because we are strong finishers.

No.19 for me every time....I did have a think, but winning the Premiership would be far more important to Liverpool (and me) than any other cup.
Id even take surprising cup exits at very early stages if it meant winning the league. (Maybe thats what we need cos if we decide to win something Rafa usually makes it so).

              So....No.19. Please.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

The league. It`s our bread and butter as the greatest man ever once famously said. All true reds should aim for the league above anything else. Its what our club is based on.

It's got to be #19 hasn't it? At this point it's the Holy Grail

Number 19. Its what you spend all season trying to win.
