    Crouch

What will he offer us this season? He slows down moves when he gets the ball.
Along with Kewell and big Sami(sadly),I think this could be there last year here.I expect Torres to be our No.1 striker and play alot and Crouch has never scored after coming on as a sub for us.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
    everyone wants to know

I dont see Crouchie being able to form a good partnership with Torres, but its early days you never know. I think has a lot to offer us this season as part of an alternative strike force.

he is going into hid 3rd season with us so id be pretty surprised if pat is basing his opinion on the few games weve played so far this pre season.

i saw the title of this thread and was expecting one of those knee jerk over the top slatings.
but tbh pat does have a point, crouch does slow moves down.
You two scousers are always yapping,I'm gonna show you some serious rapping.
I come from Jamaica,my name is John Barnes,When I do my thing the crowd go bananas.

Ok he is'nt an impact player. We have problems on the wings and clearly need a clinical striker. So we got Babel who has pace to burn and can break quick,Yossi who can make mazy runs and thread lovely balls to strikers and Torres who I feel will be top class for us.Rafa's idea must be to have more pace and movement and get more into the box.I just dont see how Crouch will fit into this style of play.

Well I only ever post about the same few negatively. Our squad is getting better by the year and we are not far off having an amazing squad.

.....but as been said he offers somehting different with his height but could work with his heading

always seems to link up well with gerrard to me, i think he'll be largely rotated again but can definately do a job for us

can't see sami getting too many league games this season, i think rafa has learnt his lesson and will pick his best 11 or there abouts every league game. Sami's lack off pace is a big problem for him, he moves like a 60 year old

I think Crouch is by far the best player to go with if we want to play 1 up top.

I have to admit he's looked a little off his game though in pre-season, especially the match he started out in Hong Kong and yesterday.

He could be a little unmotivated or down on confidence as everybody is talking about torres & voronin the brand new exciting players at LFC and everybody is happy about kuyt settling into his second season
