He hasn't signed any has he? I don't think he has signed anybody from the Premiership for that matter either!

You can't blame Didi staying at City. He will be on a decent wage there after the fuss they made getting him after he signed for Bolton.#

Good luck to him though in whatever he does. He will be a legend for us and judging what has been wrote about him, he will always be welcomed back by everybody at Anfield.

Blinky Bill is still highly regarded in Germany, especially for his LFC midfield work.

Veteran midfielder Dietmar Hamann has declared his intention to be part of Sven-Goran Eriksson's Manchester City revolution.

After bringing in eight new players since succeeding Stuart Pearce as manager this summer, Eriksson is now looking at letting others leave.

Misfiring strikers Georgios Samaras, Darius Vassell and Paul Dickov are seemingly bound for the Eastlands exit door, along with Ousmane Dabo, Ishmael Miller and former England international Danny Mills, who has been told by Eriksson he has no future at the club.

It would have been no surprise if Hamann found himself surplus to requirements either after being restricted to just 14 starts during an injury-hit debut campaign with the Blues following his controversial switch from Liverpool via Bolton.

However, the 33-year-old can sense a momentum building at City and is keen to scrap for a place in Eriksson's plans.

"We have a few midfielders now but it does not worry me. Whoever comes in, I will fight for my place and I will be ready," he told the club's website.

"I have never feared competition and I won't this season either.

"I didn't play well enough last year but I have had a good pre-season, with no injuries, and I am looking forward to Saturday."

Didi is a legend, Stevie, Carra, Robbie etc all love him.

I love the story that when he signed for Bolton he phoned Robbie up on the same day or the day after and said he couldn't understand a word anyone was saying in Bolton so was leaving!

City must surely need a defensive midfielder. They have bought all attacking midfielders so far. They cant possibly expect to win matches without someone defensive minded in the middle. So I think Didi may still have a role to play this season for them. I think after moving there it was it a bit after the lord mayors show, he probably couldnt be arsed in training etc. Think his career is winding down now, but what a player he was in his day!
