I feel completely wrong but I'm privately hoping - or wasOriginally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI'm with you mate but hope he proves me totally wrong this season.
I won't be holding my breath though.
- that he gets injured - nothing serious, perhaps stub his big toe everyday for 6 months - so that Crouch and Torres can start every game just about.

-Far too many of silly defensive mistakes. Riise's poor positioning cost us on their goal, they've got some seriously pacy mother****ers out wide who looked to get in between full back and CB, we struggled to cope with it first half. There were also number of sillier individual slip ups made in defence at times and we gifted them numerous chances through little individual slips.Originally posted by loco_law View PostOverall thoughts?
-First half we had no imagination in attack, by far the biggest problem we've got as a team, although of course one which hopefully will be resolved at least in part by the additions of Torres, Benayoun, and Babel.
-Thought Babel started to show what he can offer when he came on. Beating people and looking to play others in, he really caused them problems when we were looking otherwise predictable and lifeless. On form he's looking a better option than Kewell for the Villa game.
-Torres' stint on the right wing?! Wtf?!
-Gerrard's goal is an example of exactly the kind of situation we need to get him involved in more. He's played a lot of games in CM now, I really hope that's where Rafa plays him most this season, he can give us so much more playing there.

So much more pace, control, dynamicism...
Also, Pennant does not have the footballing brain to be top class.
We need a winger/pacy flair player.
Sadly Stevie will end up on the right and Babel will play left when the going gets tough.Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
everyone wants to know

I mean you have to be almost suicidal to pay for it right?*
Not including Amsterdam which rocks the casbah baby.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

We need that 'Fire in the belly' Something that I think Heinze brings to the table.
yes nice to see that in comparisson to when reina was sent off at sb and there was noone backing him up when all the chelsea team were thereParry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Doesn't give the ball away as cheaply as Garcia does either, has a bit of fight in him for such a skinny bloke.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostCan see Yossi playing a lot this year. He might be a lightweight scrawny ****er, but at least he's got an intelligent footballing brain and as such moves well.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
