I hate to be boring but I think Torres - not just because of the obvious potential for him to become a top scorer but I think he will bring the best out of more of our other players. A bit of intelligent pace up front will suit Kuyt, Pennant, Alonso and Gerrard and should bring the best out of all of them.

My main hope though is that a number of the new signings help us to form a cohesive front 4 with all the players contributing to creating chances for one another.

      Yeah, ofcourse.

I hope that the majority of our supporters show patience with him though because already we're seeing some people write him off which is just stupid.

I have liked the kidda Insua(although hes been with us last season) since his 2 appearences towards end of last season. And after watching him live in the WC U20s I have become a bit of a fan. Would be interesting to see how much time Rafa will give him.
Out of the new big signings, obviously TORRES would be 1st on me list. I really hope he succeeds as I had my doubts about him even before we got linked to him. If he manages the physical side of the prem and score a couple of early goals he will be dynamite.

          You beat me to it

He looks like a really good prospect who is already strong enough for the premiership.

Torres might just make it too.

Fernando Torres - in terms of latent potential he is huge.If rafa manages to unlock it we could have the best striker in the world in 2 years time.

              not funny at all mate.

I watched the highlights last night and he looked very handy. Almost Santi Solari like in his style of play.

Im also looking forward to watching more of Yossi....he could be a very astute signing by Rafa.

I think Leto for me too although I have wood thinking about Torres, Babel, The Crow, Lucas and Benny playing attacking football.

I think we have signed players that can adapt to League and Cup competitions.

                Now *that* is exciting!

Djibril Cisse.I was very excited about he's signing.I also remember thinking that the signing of Harry Kewell was the final piece in the jigsaw at the time.

Out of the current crop of signings,I, like most, think that Torres is a great buy and look forward to see him terrorising defences.I also like the signing of Lucas. He seems some prospect.

I am looking forward to seeing all of the signings, we appear to have bought some really good players. Some might take a will to get established, but we have a large enough squad to allow that to happen.

I am really looking forward to seeing Torres in action.
We have lacked a striker who could strike fear into opposing defnces since Owen's early days.
I appreciate that Torres make take some time to acclimatise to his new life but I have high hopes for him this season.

As for the others, Babel has potential, how quickly he will be able to realise that potential depends on many factors. He does however seem to have self confidence.

Benni knows the Prem and should be useful immediately.
Leto and Leiva won't feature in too many Prem games I feel
The Crow, dunno, never saw him in Germany, goodish pre-season,could be a hit, could be a flop.

Torres looks extremely clever, hungry, quick and clinical in front of goal. The Crow looks like a top quality signing, Benny is ace we already know that and Babel looks like he could be the real deal .. Best summer in years

For me its Babel, he looks to have something about him, Torres also.

I am also interested in how the changes in the backroom will effect our fortunes too, from the academy right through to the new GK coach.
