I think this is the major problem we have. Anyone who is good enough to be a reserve at PL level (eg Carson) wants regular first team football, the youngsters we're bringning in are happy to be reserves but are not good enough to risk in the Premier League.

It's a shame as I have no doubts that Carson is more than adequate cover for Pepe, but we can't give him games just for the sake of passifying him as he is inferior to Reina.

carson is a good shot stopper, but i doubt he will ever become a commanding keeper and be good enough for liverpoool on a regular basis

I tend to agree, and unless he radically improves I certainly wouldn't want him ahead of Pepe, or generally playing on anything like a regular basis. But I do think he is the required quality for a stand-in. Can't really say the same for any of the other keepers already at the club unfortuantely.
