Milan tribute to LFC and the 96

Not sure if there was a thread about it before but my Milan mate just showed these to me and I thought i'd post them:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoQZwmkaSxk (YNWA being played at the San Siro after Athens)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZrVfMRyoE0 (minute silence, which was originally forgotten by the ref, and YNWA being sung by Milan fans in respect for the 96)

    Quality.

It pains me deeply seeing Ol' Big Ears in the hands of any other team though...Athens still hurts

Respect to Milan. Despite they beat us in Athens, I do have a major amount of respect for them, the way they applauded us the lads went up the steps to get their medals was a nice touch.
      Justice for the 96

Oh really, didn't know that. Was reading a Milan forum and they said the ref forgot it.

Any significance in the 6 minutes wait? Would be very big of them if it was in reference to Istanbul.

If it's the tribute I can remember it was done just after Hillsborough where obviously the game was called off after 6 minutes - hence the game was stopped after 6 mins and the AC Milan Ultras sang YNWA

                    Nice gesture.

We got on well with the Milan lot over there, a lot of good banter, they seem like sound lads, but like you say Athens still hurts like hell.

We met a milan fan in london on the day of the CL final and had a good old chat and a bit of a sing song with him, got a lot of time for the Milan fans.

Great to see (the second one). Very emotional.

The first one just makes me want to get it back. It is ours after all.

This has just made me dig out my copy of the 2005 final. Gonna sit here and watch it all.

I was stood in behind the goal with the ultras in the San Siro before, They still sing YNWA every home game, atleast they did when I was there. Some atmosphere in behind that goal, It is better and more intimidating than you would think, its just harder to appreciate when its further from the pitch. They didnt stop singing all game.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
