Absolutely delighted that Salif is ****ing off for good. I just wiish we could've saddled Ged with him as revenge.

Not bothered about Pongolle going either. If we're brutally honest he never cut it.
Given that it's so late in the transfer window, the £2m wouldn't be much use to Blackburn. Losing Neill would weaken their defence considerably and they wouldn't have time to recruit anyone else. It makes a lot of sense keeping him - at the end of the year they know they'll lose him anyway, but it gives them time to plan.

I suppose, but as a club they aren't exactly flush.

And there's still a day of the window left to get somebody in.

I think the pricks 67 year contract expires next summer, hopefully he will **** off in january. once he signs a pre-contract, no point in him loitering around making the place untidy

Salif Diao continues to hang around Anfield like a bad smell.
Diao is not part of Rafael Benitez's plans and has not even been given a squad number this season. He was offered the chance of first team football with La Liga side Recreativo de Huelva but turned it down to remain a non playing member of the Liverpool squad.

              =======================

              FFS - Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A non-playing member of the squad, with no number??

I haven't found one good post from the numerous LFC Fanzine sites that has a good word about him, there has to be a way of reversing this player power thing!

The bloke is a greedy prick. hes made his money out of us. If he had one ounce of respect for himself, LFC and football in general he would have ****ed off and shown another team how **** he was, but for a more respectable wage. How much money does this **** need??? any defending ive ever done for this horrible prick flew out the window when he refused to go on trial with charlton. weve got to pay the prick his full contract now anyway cos the deadline has gone, so id prefer it if we just gave him it in one lump sum now and ****ed him off out the door. Im sure the proper professionals at the club are sick to death of even looking at this piece of ****.

arsh but Fair. According to the independent he turned down the move to Huelva - he obviously doesn't want to play football.

Maybe he doesn't want to live in Spain?

I think the personal vindictiveness shown towards him is unecessary. It is upsetting that he is on such a lucrative contract but that was the clubs fault not his. Having said all that I do wish he would leave.

It's not his fault he got such a lucrative contract...but he COULD have moved on IF he WANTED to.

If you got paid £40,000 a week for doing not much, and had one year on your contract, would you take over a 75% paycut? Really?

The thing is though that he's ****ing his own career up by staying with us out of greed. It's like when players sign up for Chavski on massive wages but rarely get a game - they can enjoy the money but must know that they're doing their career a lot of harm and by the time they come to retire they'll have nothing to feel proud of.

I think Diao deserves all the contempt we throw at him. He is sponging off the club and deserves no respect whatsoever.

I don't think he gives a **** though, as sad as that is. The money is the best he'll get anywhere doing anything, and he has one more year left.
