A lot of folk are saying this year could be very close, lots of so called middle tier teams will take points off top 4.

Could be another season where 70-80 wins in.

I think the level of change in the middle of the table means that they will all be vulnerable. I suspect the winners will have between 85 and 90 points - the top 5 are way ahead of the other teams IMO. Arguably last season the top two were way ahed of us and Arsenal and Spurs a little way off that. I think we will make it a top three above Arsenal and Spurs close together then a gap to the rest again.

I really think the amount of change at a lot of teams will mean that at least for the first half of the season they will be no better and possibly worse than last season. I'm predicting that Everton with a stable squad will do well until Christmas.

I reckon about 87-88 points will win the league this season. The bar has certainly been raised from the late 90s and early 2000s when 80 points practically guaranteed you the league.

If you look at recent points tallies that have won the title you'll see what a huge task it is for us, and I think to have any hope we'll need to prioritise the league much higher than we've done in the past, if you're looking at only losing 2-3 league games a season to win the league then I think it is almost impossible to challenge right to the death in both the Premiership and Champions League.

We'll see how it goes, I've never heard Rafa so confident about a league campaign. I think this season we can be right up there if the new players excel, but we shall see.

Indeed, it is a case of the team who drops points in the least amount of matches who will win it. The team who will win the most games will almost certianly win the league, which is why we must really buck up our ideas away from home, and not go to places like Villa like we did last season and be happy with a draw.

maybe but they never woone the league

i reckon the likes of villa, west ham, man city and a few other mid range teams will go on some good runs and beat a few of the top teams this year.
