True? I've not seen it mentioned anywhere else...?
The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions to me; the distinction is yours to draw...

Who knows what that might mean. Everton are well known for not being able to judge talent. After all, I remember many moons ago, they were waxing lyrical about "the new and even better robbie fowler" - turns out they were talking about fanny jaffas!

Didn't we rejected Rooney and Baines
      Didn't Utd reject Henry?

No. he turned up for a trial for Liverpool in an Everton shirt - there was no way he was going to sign for us

Yes to Macca, no to Robbie who's often stated that he's a Liverpool fan. Unlike Macca

Hopefully he'll never have to play for the club

I've only just come up with this ludicrous conspiracy theory so go easy on me but: Is it possible Everton came up with this story to cover the fact that another one of their targets chose to join another club. This being an especially galling prospect in light of the fact the team the player rejected them for was us?

So you need to rephrase it in that case to, "once a blue, always a blue.....unless you change sides and start supporting liverpool!". Not quite as catchy though!
