We won. We made loads of good chances and were denied 3 more goals by two blocks on the goal line and one cracking save. We have 3pts and SG looks very happy to be in the middle. All this Kuyt sniping is stupid. He played his part.

I have to say mate and I'm one of Stevie F's biggest fans, but I thought he gave the ball away a little to much in the first half and was caught for pace a couple of times but for the most part was his usual composed self.

What impressed me was that he did struggle a bit but he came out on top in the end.He showed his class and in the end Young got frustrated.

Ashely Young is class .. and will give defenders nightmares this season ... in the 2nd half Finnan was directly in the Sun which was very low in the sky and shinning right in his eyes .. Villa were flying balls down that flank for that reason ... going through Finnan is not the easy option
