Kewell not even on the bench?

Has there been any official word on this? I hope to jesus that he isnt injured again Or was it just a decision by our bearded battle-chief to leave him out?

I think it's safe to say Kewell, Crouch , Benayoun and possibly even Babel will play on Wed.

I think he is injured. He was taken off against Feyenoord as a precaution last week and maybe Rafa didn't wanna risk him for yesterday and save him for Toulouse

        I like it.

        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Probably still not fully fit, I imagine it's the same with Mascher

Agree with you there colin. I think this is something that we may see a fair bit of in the earlier part of the season, certainly with the better depth of quality we have this season.

Surely Kewell should be as fit as anyone in the squad after playing in the Asian Cup as well as taking part in some of our final pre season games? I reckon he was dropped because Rafa thought there were better alternatives.

With our big squad this year big players will be left out of the squad just like Yossi and Crouch were yesterday
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

I think Neil Young scared him away.

I also heard a few more stretch marks were discovered and he needs time out to deal with it

We'll see a lot of this until we qualify for the CL proper. Plus we have Chelsea so early on this season, Rafa wants the team (1st 11) ready for that one - but wants us still in the 2nd leg of the CL qualifier.

Wouldnt say it is about Kewell, a lad on RAWK translated an interview with the Finnish press from Hyypia saying Kewell was injured for the Villa game.
