Its all well and good improving our marketing, but Liverpool FC should never ever be ripping its own fans off, and this seems like a rip off.Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostThe ones on eBay are usually fake despite their 'certificate of authenticity'. Whilst I personally would never pay £80 for a 'signed' shirt or even £40 for an unsigned one how many times have we all moaned that we are not as commercially aware as the likes on Man Utd yet we're now slagging off the club for generating over £160k for a few shirts?

There are soooo many other feasible ways of generating revenue through marketing. This is a bad start for the new Marketing Manager."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

The one who starts next Thursday? You can't have it both ways. Commercialism = exploiting a loyal (gullible) fan base although Ian Ayres being a marketing man won't use those words...Originally posted by thesilverfoxlfc View PostNot the same buddy

Well, we've obviously got a partnership with Parcelforce, a cardboard box company and some bloke forging Stevie's signature 2007 times...Originally posted by thesilverfoxlfc View PostI am looking for partnerships with major companies resorts etc......

Like I said before, Ian Ayre doesn't start until next Thursday, August 16th, so give the fella a chance!

There's an old idiom that states "a fool and his money are soon parted"...Originally posted by looprevil View PostIn the meantime lets take the piss out of our fans....
Personally, if stevenage_kop or anybody else wants to spend £80 on a 'signed' shirt in a presentation box for £80 that's their prerogative just like it's mine to blow eight times as much on a season ticket. After all, as a special edition shirt, he might be able to flog it on eBay to someone else for double the money...

At least they have 2007 for sale.
I have just been online to buy some of the new kit and almost all the new stuff is 'currently unavailable'.
Now that doesn't make sense to me. If the send out a catalogue then they should have the items ready for an immediate response. If someone now wants something desperate they will just go to kit bag instead of waiting.
Crazy, but nothing new!!!!
