    Nancy FC fans steal our badge

    I was watching the French league highlights on Setanta last night and saw this in the Nancy crowd. It looks exactly like our badge, complete with shankly gates and eternal flames, except that they've swapped the liverbird for their logo. Has anyone seen this before?

        I saw a bit of the french league round up yesterday and the St Etieene fans looked superb. Loads of flags and banners - with one huge banner covering the whole end of their newly refurbished ground.
        Liverpool born and bred.

          I think it is a show of respect more than anything, it obviously isn't their real crest, so to pretend they are the best in the world, and most mythical etc. They copy our badge and put their own name in.
          The person that did it, could even be a French Red.
          Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
          'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

          "Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
