By the time he gets back into it Babel will have cemented his place in the team, and Leto will be pushing for selection
    Sadly it seems so.

I guess we want to get him fit enough to string together a couple of good games so that we can sell him now.

His career ended a long time ago as far as I'm concerned. The only reason he's still in the books is because no other club will take him off our hands. At 70000 £ a week, who can blame them?

It's and expensive and slighty improved Diao if you want to be really harsh.

PS: And Kewell can't even cook.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

That'll be some 2 performances mate

It appears he'll be a squad player for the season, hopefully doing well when he plays but for once we are not dependant on him being available and we have other options.

I am still hopeful of a worthwhile contribution but disappointed his injuries have come back so early in the season, however minor it is

It's so sad when Kuyt gets ripped up here by a fair amount and Kewell is like the prodical son.We are a better team without him and hopefully by the time he is fit Babel will hold that position.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

I'm pretty devastated by this TBH. I was really hopeful the year long rehab would pay off for us, and for that matter Harry himself who must be shattered. If it is minor i hope he can play some part for us this year and i am sure he will but as a great admirer of his football from the start of his career i have to say what a waste.

He could of been anything, particularly at a club like Liverpool. It's been a ****ing disaster almost from the get go.

Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

In fairness you would be hard pressed to pick out 2very good Kewell performances in the league.Babel looked tasty when he came on.
If Kewell did he would look slow and sluggish. You cant beat the youth and pace and babel will give a way better threat than kewell this year.

                          yes

i really want him to do well, and when he is fit he can be a great player for us.....but its becoming clearer and clearer that he is not going to be a part of our future.

I really want to see Babel and Leto get a chance, because both have looked rather good. I was really impressed with Leto in his debut, i used to be a big fan of Santi Solari...and i thought i was watching a young version of him. I have high hopes for him now

I was being sarcastic mate - Harveybirdman said by the time he got back Babel will have cemented his place in the team but I was saying as he's only out for 10 days and we'll only play 2 games, will have to be some performances by Babel to cement his place in that short time

Wasn't very funny to begin with granted & definitely lost something having to explain it after it was taken up wrong - will keep them to myself in future

I agree with you totally there.

Im sure all of us want him to become the player he was at Leeds but its not going to happen, he's finished at the top level, a shame cause we all had high hopes
