I'm sure Terry will be back, which makes them very strong again, however Carvalho might be out, and judging by Reading's attempts last night both Chelsea fullbacks were garbage.

We need to try and target the fullback areas and hopefully then put dangerous balls between Cech and Terry - and hopefully we'll get some joy out of it.

Attack, Attack, Attack shouldn't be the philosophy - we need to work the openings.

Harsh to leave Xabi out after a good performance at Villa but Masher provides that extra bit of insurance when Gerrard's tearing all over the place causing havoc. Riise hasn't played one game at left-back this season and clearly Benitez doesn't fancy him there anymore. Arbeloa's done nowt wrong and must keep his place. His assurance on the ball, silky running and decisive defending is a breath of fresh air and he should play.

I'd actually start Crouch alongside Torres - with Crouch drifting out wide to win stupidly easy headers against the fullbacks; with Torres and Gerrard running onto the knock-downs.

Pennant on the right, Riise on the left.

Either Mascher or Alonso - not bothered who.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Momo start, always does well v the Chavs, was highly impressive in pre-season and hasn't started either of our 2 competitive games so far

Agree we should attack Chelsea as their defence is their weakness - we're at home so we need to be positive, not to the extent of leaving ourselves exposed at the back though as Drogba will need to be kept under wraps

That's an excellent line up but can't see Rafa playing against Chelsea without one of Mascherano or Sissoko in the middle. Also can see him playing Riise LM (unfortunately)

Nice to see you on here Dave, along with Shaggy and Nic other 6cm fellas , I only signed up a week ago, heard good things about it.

As long as we are not cagey we will do well, worse case scenario is early 1-0 to us and then those horrible games where we hang on for 80 odd minutes, waiting for a pen or free kick from the cockey serial wife cheater to get one :whatever:

By the way, keep away from chavs shouting abuse at your car if you are going to the game
