So Rafa stopped rotating after 99 games last season, coincidence or did he do it to either take the piss out of the press or to stop him getting an unwanted record/title.
Either way do you think he will struggle to put the same team out twice again this season, will he go 99 games again?
I would love to know how many times the other top 3 teams rotate compared to us.
Remember, ex players and pundits only complained about it last season because we were struggling, if we are winning without the same 11 starting twice in a row does it matter.
Strikers are the strange one for me, can strikers just play with anyone or do they need to have an understanding by playing together nearly every week.
Think back through time, successul teams had great steady partnerships up top.
Daglish/Rush
Aldridge/Beardsley
Hughes/Cantona
Wright/Smith
Cole/Yorke
Shearer/Sutton
Drogba, Henry and RVN never had consistent partners, maybe class strikers can play on their own or with anyone and still do the biz
