I considered the alternatives (Babbel/Benayoun/Pennant) and Gerrard is better. He could get too sucked into the midfield scrap in the centre and with a broken toe, it might be better him out wide.

I agree half the eejits would have a fit about though. ho humm

I really hope we see Crouch and Torres but I suspect it will be Kuyt and Torres.

What a difference a summer makes.

Last season we could NEVER have this discussion as we just didn't have enough options. Now picture what Jose is going thru

3-0 final. Torres, Kuyt and Agger.

id go with crouch and torres to start with. then bring kuyt on later on in the game. id start:

              -----------reina
              finnan-carra-agger-arbeloa
              pennant-alonso-gerrard-riise
              ------crouch--torres----

and have charles hyypia babel masherano kuyt on the bench

Terry definitely, Ben Haim remains to be seen.
Not the game for Crouch today.
Has to be on the bench though, for the last 20 mins praps.

Voronin has earned a starting place imo. If he's done the same in training, I wouldn't be surprised to see The Crow and Torres start. Well, maybe a little bit, but I'd be happy with it.

I wouldn't put it past Rafa suprising us with his team selection today.

They're terrified of Torres now, it'd be nice to have another striker that scares them in a different way along side him. It'd be very difficult to keep an eye on them both.. he'd feed off Crouch's knockdowns too.
