You have every player in the first team squad 100% fit (even Kewell and Aurellio) what team would you pick and why? Who would you leave out of the 16 and why?

Was thinking of putting 5 outfield players on the bench but niaive, had Momo there but thought we could put Stevie back in there if needed. Need Hyppia as defensive cover, had Pennant there to run at tired legs at the end and Babel to destroy them with pace & power

Reina - I feel this is pretty safe ground as the new keeper is clearly a bench warmer and Pepe is a godlike legend.

Carragher - Again a far from controversial pick. The soul of the team and a rock at the back.

Agger - Top defender better at getting the ball into midfield to start attacks than any of our other defenders, offers a bit of goal threat.

Finnan - Solid fullback who offers good crosses and hardly ever disappoints. His one weakness, in the air, very unlikely to be overly exploited by United.

Aurelio - I like fullbacks who contribute to the attack. Superb crosser which will make up for a lack of really natural wingers in the squad.

Mascherano - Against the likely position swapping of the front players an intelligent specialist holding midfielder is a blessing and maks me more secure playing Gerrard in the middle.

Gerrard - I want goals from midfield and so far this season he has combined a threat bursting forwards with a more intelligent choice of when to stay and go than he has shown in previous seasons. He is also just a fabulous player.

Pennant - Possibly a controversial selection but I think we need some width to trouble United and he is pretty much our most consistent provider of that.

Babel - Helpful on the fast break and I like what I have seen of him. gets the nod in midfield above Benayoun as I want pace on the break.

Kuyt - I really like his linking play and he brings in others around him and is always up for the fight.

Torres - has pace and power we don't really have any other players who can give this to us up front except him and Babel and Torres gets the nod up front due to being better there and I want Babel in midfield

I'd pick them because i think they are our best 11 players, i'd leave the rest out because I don't think they are as good as this 11.

The only exception I might make is Alonso, but he'd have to be back to his form from 2 seasons ago
