    Gerrard in England squad

only just noticed, so is there a point to this, or just Mclaren being a bell

I think it's Mclaren just trying to be a little hard in front of the media who already know he's soft as sh!te. Wait till Rafa slaps him across the face and puts the **** in his place.

I ****ing hate international football. Used to love it when I was younger, now I find it's just a **** side-show that detracts from the real football.

He won't play, he'll just "join up with the squad". I haven't got a problem with that.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

As he's Vice Captain I don't suppose he had much choice in the matter. He's only there to discuss the upcoming qualifiers apparently, I very much doubt he'll be doing anything more taxing than a bit of light training.

I wouldn't have thought he's too thrilled with the prospect of listening to McClaren talk bollocks for a couple of days though.
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

I have, after he's pulled off a heroic performance on Sunday, he should get to put hi put his feet up for a week, instead of fannying about going down to London

Apparently McClown has told Gerrard to prepare for a conference speech on the subject of 'How not to break metatarsals & big toes' as a prevention to the high probability of these injuries in England at the moment.

Rafa says it's 'absolutely risk free' he does that.

This seems entirely pointless to me, surely its in Gerrard's and Englands best interests that he continues his rehabilitation at Melwood where the physios who know him best can work on the injury daily.

                    Arrgh this makes me mad!

                    (McClueless related rant over)

I think thats a shame for you, I spent a fantastic few days in Germany for the world cup. National football has the potential to grasp the interest and hopes of everyone, the effect it had on the everyday German was quite fantastic.

In terms of the qualifying and friendlies...... they almost without fail disappoint though
