I don't know him that well but I believe you. And from what I have been told, Johnny H is indeed a genuine "insider".

But he's made a lot of glaring mistakes over the last year or so to suggest to me that he may have lost some of the "contacts" that he had after Benitez took over from Houllier.

He doesn't come up with the 'big' news like Elisha Scott, but Mr Usher definately seem to have real contacts and always does it in good faith.

I suppose. But as the point has already been made, he does post in good faith, and is right more often than not.

He did say this summer we'd sign Aimar, but apparently that fell through after Cisse got crocked playing for France.

I don't think Aimar was ever a target for Benitez this summer.

I said Pongolle will be loaned to Huelva before anyone on every LFC forums(I checked EST,TalkLFC, TLW, SixCM, RAWK and Bascombe article on the web came after me)...News come from official sources and are then divulgated. If you check carefully the serious sources(not too dificult to know who they are), you'll know the rumours exactly at the same time as "insiders". I heard about Kuyt to LFC in january 2005 from a dutch friend...

Given who Elisha's rumoured main contact is though it's not surprising that he comes up with the Big news. i agree though ES is probably the most reliable poster of inside information i've come across

To be honest thats the only source of his i've heard mentioned by name but i think there are a couple of others by association not sure whom though.
