L.F.C brand set for promotion in China,India and co

Liverpool co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett see huge potential for the club in China and India.

Gillett revealed to the Daily Mail: "We are discovering the fan base of Liverpool is much more global than we realised. Probably the second biggest in the world.

"We are not sure if the Premiership plays collectively that well. On the other hand, the four top clubs definitely do. We are trying to sort that out. I don't know that we know the answer yet. But we see China, India, some of the emerging nations that are doing well economically, as amazing opportunities."

Anyone else wondering where this could be heading?

I would guess that the current TV deal will be the last one done individually and we'll be heading down the Spanish path soon enough.

    Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

I`d thought that Barca, RM and Scum were all ahead of us.
We might be second in the Asia marked, but Barca and RM are probably the biggest in South-America

Getting the on-line shop to work would be welcomed as well.

That will be the death of football, the smaller clubs will not be able to compete cause who will pay them the same amount as the big clubs Liverpool Man Utd and Arsenal and the likes of the other clubs Chelski and Derby wont get as much.

                      It would be terrible

Ian Ayre, the new Commercial Director, started work last Thursday. Coincidence that this is released so soon afterwards?

                            Who pays for it?

How much do clubs need? As long as the relative wealth is maintained its all the same. Has anything really got any better with the cash explosion? Are directors or grassroots getting any more from the cash cow? No!! The only change is that we all pay more, and fecking setanta is just another hemorrage of cash to the fan, bloody monopolies commission!! They're supposed to make stuff better for the consumer, not just allow more people to leech from the sport!!

European super league will die within 2 seasons, if it ever gets going and any extra TV money is just going to come from us. I hope LFC doesn't become a complete whore to money like PLC UTD etc, we have always been a working class club, run for the fans and for football as a whole, if we are to become a bunch of sluts its only going to push me away from the game and the club. If LFC is no longer LFC then I see no reason to support it!
