Lets hope Rafa has anew CB coming in.
Or two if Sami leaves for Fulham.
Paletta is still only 21, so he might turn out good. But I have my doubts.

Let's be brutally honest, he was pretty ****e.

Probably best he moves on to forge a proper career for himself.

Paletta will not be back. He was never ever good enogh and showed no clear signs, IMO, that he ever could be.

I hope Rafa gives Hobbs or one of the other young CB similar opportunities as Paletta had last season.

Better for him that he moves on because, as others have said, he's not good enough to break into our first team.

To be fair, we've got Carra, Agger as two top class center backs with Sami as experienced cover.

Arbeloa made a name for himself playing center back for Deportivo too.

This is not a position that I feel we're desperate in of cover for.

It depends on your point of view I suppose.
Lets look at our realistic first team options in defence:

Finnan, Riise, Carra, Agger, Sami, Arbeloa are the most obvious ones. Then you're looking at Aurelio and Insua neither of whom I'm particularly confident with.
So basically what I'm saying is we need at least one more defender for our first team, preferrably someone versatile. I'd go for Chiellini.

And IF Heinze comes, we'll have another.

Nearly seven million pounds for an ageing, long haired manc as center back cover. Great.

Well I pretty much agree, but it is still the case that if we buy Heinze we probably won't need another CB.

one good thing about Rafa - if someone is ****e he recognises it pretty quickly.

Would I have got married during the football season ?
                        Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

                          Absolutely.

He doesn't mind swallowing his pride and shipping them out, even players he has been after for ages and clearly rated very highly, like Morientes.

Would of liked him to play in England and get used to the English league and continue to learn the language.

bit of a waste him going to Argentina
