Not signed. He had a bad day, made some terrible decisions and probably should have taken a step back and counted to ten when things were getting heated, but do we raise a petition if a player scores an own goal? or a keeper does a Jens Lehman. We are all human and I am pretty sure that as Stevie said it, Styles just cracked. Poll did it in the world cup but generally these guys are the best we have.

I would however sign a petition that promotes the retraining of referees to hand out more cards to players that push pressure on referees. John Terry will criticise everything in the hope of gettting something.
    He should have been off.

I did like someones suggestion about the captains having one appeal to a referees decision which would result in consultation with the other officials or technology.
I dont think I've seen anything quite like this before.

This conversation can serve no purpose.

    Goodbye.

What if that game was a title decider? and we needed three points to win the league, that is my point.
If we loose it because of bad results away, you wont find me blaming the ref over not winning the league.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            Again I agree with you

The ref made a mistake things like this happen in football rise above it and move on. It's not up to us fans to dictate who can and can't be a ref that's the FA's job. He was the same ref that gave us the peno 1st game of the season last year away at Shef U and that was dodgy it's all swings and round abouts. It was a very bad mistake nothing more nothing less I'm pretty sure he'll be gutted this morning about as well.

Fulham had a goal that wasn't over the weekend should they start a petition to get that Ref outed? Leave it be guys leave it be.

The ******'s boss just apologised to Rafa that he got it wrong - the penalty that is.

I think there is more at issue here than trying to get Styles de-listed or whatever you want to call it. It's time the footballing authorities had a closer look at the way they train, assess and appoint referees for matches, because it is clear to me the likes of Styles and Riley are not competent to referee games of this magnitude.

We've been ****ed over in league games against Chelsea recently - yesterday aside I can think of Reina's red card and Tiago's handball. I think we have a right to be aggrieved.

This is getting a bit silly IMO.
Spot on! it just makes us seem so bitter - I'm embarassed by this kind of thing.

Fair enough I bet Rafa will say apology accepted and so should we.

Keith Hackett, the ref's boss has just been on SSN apologising to both Rafa and Laurie Sanchez. Fair play, atleast they admit mistakes.

                            Well said mate. Agree completely.

The penalty decision was an awful mistake but apart from that he didn't do much wrong for me (apart from a few decisions that happen every game). The whole Essien affair happened because of Chelsea players surrounding him and making his head spin with all their f'in and blinding. There needs to be more protection for referees. The Liverpool players would've stood up for him if it weren't for the fact that he had done us over with the penalty beforehand. Ironic huh?

If anything the Chelsea players should be reprimanded.

Today we got the evidence that it's not only in Italy they bribe the refs. it happens in the English league too.

He stood five, six yards from the penalty incident so he can't have missed that Malouda dived.

He let Essen play on with two yellow cards.

I think that is evidence enough.

I wich that they will suspend him but the FA won't have the balls to do that.
For the very first time, i agree with every word
