    You never know.

There are some crumbs of positivity to be taken out of the shambles that was the daylight robbery yesterday. As well as what you've said, it can galvanise the squad, make them more desperate to make up those lost two points and more.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

if he gets to referee one of our games later this season he'll give us everything be like walking opn eggshells although i think the league will spare him and not him any of our matches this season now

I think Styles was looking at the ball and missed the initial movement. I don't even think Malouda was looking for a pen, I think he was trying to make sure Finnan didn't get to the ball.
That being the case then it seems he wasn't up with play which makes his error even worse.

I don't agree with that Malouda didn't looked for a penalty. If you see the incident is slowmo then you will see that Malouda is on the way down before Finnan makes contact with him.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Don't wish to re-open the whole 'was the ref bribed' debate, however just seen this on the Beeb website's gossip column:

Under-fire ref Rob Styles is on the board of the firm which paved the driveway of Chelsea's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich - although referees' chiefs have cleared him of any conflict of interest-various.

It was to many big dodgy decisions and all of them went Chelseas way, not 50 or 75%, 100% of them.

Lampard should have been sent off for kicking out on Alonso, a very clear red card.

The penalty decision. There is no way that he didn't see clearly what happened.

The two yellow cards for Essien, yes he got two yellows whatever Styles or anyone has said after the game.

The Chelsea walls who was standing four-five yards from the ball at every dangerous freekick and Styles did nothing about it.

Mikel stamping on Torres, another clear red card.

So he missed at least three red cards and gave them a penalty.

That is just to many things for him not being bribed IMO.

I can understand that refs can have a bad day but then he gives bad decisions both ways and not in only one way.

I actually considered being a referee.

Drogba's prolongued sarcastic clapping should have been yellowed too.

yeah, but like the guy said in the Echo yesterday, Styles probably thought Drogba was being genuine and that he was deserving of the plaudits

he was up with play, so god knows where he was looking. Jeff Winters said he was actually too close. Maybe because the incident was past the ball he missed it as he'd kept his eye on the path of the ball.
