    Chelsea aftermath

The ref was ****ing ****e and cost us today. It happens. Deal with it.

Chelsea got what they came for, a draw. That in itself is clear evidence how far we've come under Rafa. I genuinely dont think they're a better side than us now.

We've DEFINTELY got the squad to seriously challenge for the title this season. We knew we had a solid backline and central midfield before, but now we have players like Torres, Babel, Voronin etc who offer than little bit extra spark, pace, creativity and can create something from absolutely nothing.

We have to go to Sunderland on Saturday, with more or less the same team, take the game to them, put our chances away and WIN. A draw at their place would be a real setback.

I think we'll be there or there abouts in March/April.

Man Utd's bad start has opened a door for us, we're two points ahead with a game in hand. We simply MUST stay level with Chelsea now, we cant let them establish any kind of points lead so early in the season.

Everything points to success in the future, I am delighted with how we played today.

    Onwards and upwards.

    No.
    The ref is a ****
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I thought we were excellent today. It will have given the players the belief that we can challenge. No doubt about it. We win our game in hand and we are level with Chelski and 5 ahead of Manure. Usually the season is all but over by now.

              When does it happen?
It seems to be only teams playing Manure or Chelski that get robbed, why should we get over it.The situation should be dealt with.

I thought we played well today but yet again our finishing was too wayward, Torres took his goal superbly but some of our other attacking play lacked quality at times.

I actually said to my dad when we were leading 1-0 and missing a few shots that we needed to score another to be sure of a win.

Refs **** up all the time. I'm pissed off too, but there's no point dwelling on it.

Remember Gerrard's freekick against Villa the other week ? That was NEVER freekick.

Take the positives from today, it's the only way forward.

We were by far the better side and but for some bizarre refereeing decisions

Just watched Maureen's comments.....mans on a different planet....

if we play like that for the rest of the season we will be very successful. we were on top and the only team looking likely to score until the ref intervened. i'm ****ing angry about that but the team look together, hungry and at times (considering the new players still need time) very slick

i wouldn't want to be in sunderland's defence next week

Mate, to be fair it happens to all teams. I can remember Gerrard diving to win a penalty before. There is other occasions im sure. It just gets highlighted more when its those two. We wernt crying and complaining last week when we got that soft freekick. I know its not the same, as it was blatenly not a penalty. But what im saying is that over all most teams get some good and bad awards from the ref. Its part of the game.

We should turn this feeling of anger and outrage into focus; That is now Rafa's job. We take it out on the other sides now. We walk out of the locker room determined never to be in a position where some c*nt ref can steal one from us. Bang in the goals, lads. Focus and determination will see us to the top of the league.

And what i`m saying is that Manure and Chelski get a higher percentage than most.
