There's a diehard Chelsea fan at work, supported them all his life (he's 56 now, so not a new money-chaser) and even he is embarrassed by Maureen's comments.
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the goal of arriving safely in a prettily preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways in a shower of gravel and party shards, thoroughly used, utterly exhausted, and loudly proclaiming: "F*** ME, that was BRILLIANT!"

there's two ways of looking at mourinho.

          1. he's a breath of fresh air. he's controversial, funny, doesn't do standard football speak. he brings a great sense of unity to his teams and he walks the walk as he is very succesfull.

          2. mourinho is an absolute blight on football. he actively encourages cheating on a number of different levels - constant and orchestrated intimidation of referees making it close to impossible to ref games (his involvement in anders firsks premature retiement shoud not be forgotten here - he directly endangered a man's life). he seems to actively seek out and buy players that have absolutely no compunction about cheating and violent play - drogba, mikel, essien, malouda yesterday, lampard (always has a sneaky go at the end of a bit of a ruckus and often is the cause of them), robben, ballack. his style of play should never be confused with a cautious tactical approach - mourinho is the ultimate in a negative hoof-it-up-to-the-big-man approach. tactically, he's jack charlton with an open chequebook and a degree in psychology. because he has a squad of world class players, you can be fooled into thinking it's something different. never forget that this is the man who used robert c/unting huth as a striker on 2 occasions. tactical genius? petulant, self-obsessed, mercenary, conscience-free, classless, arrogant cheat.

I just think the whole club is rotten from top to bottom. Maureen fits into their business strategy because he won't care how his comments looks in the media. All he and the club cares about is winning in any possible way. If that includes cheating, bribe a ref or two, bullying, tapping up players and diving then so be it, at least we get the points.

              The Frank Arnesen affair.
              The Ashley Cole affair.
              The Anders Frisk incident.
The bullying of the refs week in week out.
The diving and cheating week in week out.
The Mikel affair that included kidnaping.

They don't care how they win and get the players, as long as they get the points.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He's clearly a dishonest tosser. Not worth listening to, nevermind getting wound up about. He's just scared because he dreamed of fantasy football when he took over, he failed to win the CL, he lost the league to the mancs and now he sees his team getting outplayed pretty regularly.

Option 1) for about the 1st 6 months he arrived.

after that Option 2) is a no brainer. He's a mentalist

In regard to the bit in bold i would add he actively seeks out our targets, eg alves and Malouda. I suspect he does not have faith in his own recruiting network.

                    After the pen ...

We should have won - we were ****ed over by the ref - thats fact BUT am I the only one a bit concerned by what happened after the pen? Our belief, our aggression, our fight seemed to vanish as if the players themselves didn't think we could push on to win it (after we'd been robbed). We became disjointed and seemed to totally loose our way - case in point was the last minute(s) of injury time - why did we not just pump the ball into the box for Crouchie to create something? At that stage Styles knew he'd ****ed up so why not put pressure on the guy to "even" the match up with a dodgy pen back to us?

lesson learned rather than a worry. rafa will have raised this point just as you have. we still should have won but these games are tight and we still pressed and had a few chances.

They closed the game down thats why. Played negative tactics. They played 5 at the back towards the end

Only after we brought on Crouch and played with 3 centre forwards - they were tight from the off with SWP playing "inside", they didn't/couldn't tighten up anyone until Crouch was introduced.

                            CARRA's Booking

Surely in the light of Style's dismissal CARRA's booking should now be rescinded?

I think the lads were still in shock the penalty was given hence it knocked the wind out of our sails big time and we couldn't recover.
It was such a ****ing pity that ****** decided Chelsea should have a penalty, we didn't look like conceding at all, ok Chelsea were coming on strong but they never really created any clear cut chances and we always looked dangerous on the break with the pacy Torres upfront and Pennant down the wing.

Very, very cruel but we have to move on from it, starting at the Stadium of Light this saturday.

Far too logical for the FA.
