Torres is off the mark and he will be an awesome player this year, and hopefuly for many more. The guy is pure class ad his finish was just sublime.

Lecter makes out he's got some sort of insider knowledge but yet again he's been proved wrong which is probably why we rarely hear from him nowadays. When I revealed in March that the stadium plans were being revised and increased from 60,000 to 78,000 'Insider' Lecter said there was no way that could happen...
Tbh I've always been extremely suspicious of Lec and his 'source', I can't remember him ever getting much right or coming out with anything original

Young Torres is now a legend in the making.

Anyone remember when STevie first started playing - i remember being in the Main stand and all the old fogeys were wondering who the lad playing right back was. "He is going to be a great player" they were saying - they were right. Same reaction today! These old boys know their stuff, you know

          F-Dot () was class today.

Seeing him today, you can clearly see he bears no resemblance to Morientes whatsoever and so concerned fans comparing him to Mori were wide of the mark. He's deceptively quick and is strong and able to stand up to the physical aspects of the league in the way Morientes wasn't able to.

Best of all, he makes his own chances. I don't remember the last time we had a striker who could fathom a chance and a goal out of nothing (probably back in the Fowler/Collymore days). He can get a goal out of nothing. Had no right to get past Ben Haim and score from that position and that angle. Ben Haim didn't know what hit him. quality

he is a complete player torres, and a game like he had today will do his confidence a world of good. that can be the difference for a striker, and its important to get goals early. he's clearly demonstrated in the short time he's been here that he is liverpool class and the striker we have been crying out for since rafa joined

Why the **** anyone who has even seen him play once would compare him to Morientes is beyond me

Mate, he definitely does know one of our players, no question. I think it's either Gerrard or Carragher.

Much beter all round player imo.

The other thing for me is how quickly he seems to be settling in. Don't get me wrong he's not the finished article but he doesn't look out of place in the epl He is a lot more physical than he looks.

****ing love what I've seen so far. He's the complete striker. Pace to ****ing burn, great touch, skill, superb movement (his movement really reminds me of Fowler) and, most pleasingly, he's strong and he fights for everything. I loved how he didn't let that slitty-eyed cockney chav **** Terry bully him. He's a fighter.

The importance of a new striker scoring on his home debut can't be overplayed - it's massive and it's set him up perfectly for us. He'll score at Sunderland next week and I predict he's gonna be an absolute ****ing superstar for us. He can be anything he wants to be and we could have the Prem's next Henry-esque 'superstar striker' on our hands.

Not that I wanna put any pressure on him or anything.
He was ****ing immense today, loved the way he wound Terry up it's exactly what Drogba does except Drogba is a cheating Chav ******.
His link play, that goal was ****ing brilliant.
I had my doubts about him when he signed he's won me over big style he's the real deal.

Loved his duel with Terry. Fouls him, slaps the slit-eyed racist on the cheek and puts his finger to his lips.

Top work El Nino. It will be Torres +1 up front this season.
I don't think anyone wanted him.

Cause I've seen Shevchenko play in Serie A, score a goal per game etc. and then came to Chelsea to score what 2 goals in a whole season?

I'M LUCKY I WAS WRONG! Torres is a combination of these smileys:

Extremely happy with what I saw of Torres today.

Fantastic goal, great workrate and intelligent running from the lad. Brilliant way to make your home debut, and if he continues as he did today then he'll be a marvellous signing for us.

Pity the excuse of a ref spoilt what should have been a superb winning goal from the lad!

Drogba really is pathetic, isn't he?! He's a diving cheating bastartd.

I'd almost frogotten how much I hated the chavs until we played them again today.

                                They're deplorable.
