But still, you can't blame him for that. Things looked really crappy then and it looked like we were going to concede a few more

Ah ... Andy Gray's fine. I hate when people say he is just a sad old **** just because he's an ex-bluenose.

FFS, I rather listen to Andy Gray than some ex-manc *******

Imagine listening to Gary Neville or Ryan Giggs in a few years' time? I'm not yet prepared for that and to be honest, I probably never will be

He had to say it wasn't a penalty because it was never a ****ing penalty. Not one person on any forum has said it was a penalty besides two people, Maureen that cheating son of a bitch and Nob Styles. So to say he likes Liverpool would be like saying Andy Johnson could play for Real Madrid! No ****ing chance!

He calls it as he sees it every single time, he's a top class co-commentator and indeed pundit, he knows the game inside out and i could listen to him talking football all day long.
Just because he's ex everton doesn't mean ****, he makes sky sports good viewing and i look forward to him coming on the box every weekend.

Looking aside from the fact that Andy Gray is a bluenose, his commentary isn't particularly wonderful these days. In his first few years he was rightly lauded as an good co-commentator but now in my opinion he is living on his early reputation.

If you listen to Gray you will hear him voice the same opinions about the same tieams week in week out, punctuated by Highland Bling and his little catchphrases that he has coined over the years "Take a bow son", "Thats Numberwang" etc. This is inbetween lauding the likes of Big Fat Sam, having a go at zonal marking and telling the world, and whoever else is listening, that he wants to blow Rooney.

So I don't find him a particularly onerous character, I just don't find him particularly insightful or original these days. Maybe he has been on a little too long and has simply run out of things to say.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I don't mind Gray. He's been the voice of the premiership really. He just says what he see's and sometimes the truth can hurt.

I said it yesterday, fair play to him for slamming the ref. they seem to get away with everything.
Still though, I still think he is an average pundit, and his football knowledge is not what it should be for someone who watches so much football and is regarded (by sky) as the best football pundit out there.

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I've got no issues with him.

Yeah he loves Everton, Utd and Arsenal & Chelsea to a degree. But he genuinely loves his football and calls it how he see's it. He's passionate and doesn't give a **** about what people think, and that's quite admirable.

I'll take Gray & Tyler over any other commentary team, anyday.

I like Andy Gray. If he didn't play for Everton, so would everyone else.

                              Who's bitter?
