The rate this lad is improving is unbelievable. At the start of this season I would say the vast majority of supporters would have thought of him as just cover for the defence. I know I did.

He`s been given his chance to go one better than that and **** me, he is taking it. Not only has he been immense defensively when he`s played this season but also proved to be one of our main attacking threats too with his intelligent use of one-two`s and knowing WHEN to make a overlapping run.

If Arbeloa continues in this form thwen it wont be very long at all before he is considered as vital for the reds as say carra/finnan.

Well done Arbeloa lad and keep it up

Neither can I if he plays as well as he did on the left wing yesterday. Riise was superb and took on and beat the full back on every possible occasion. Got some good crosses in too.

Unfortunately he wasnt wearing his shooting boots yeaterday or he would have got a goal also.

Yeah if that shot from the Pennant pullback had gone in it would have been some goal.

With Riise further forward he will get more sights of goal than normal. Which is nice.
